So what do Civic Pride Rossendale volunteers get up to during the lockdown? Gardening, spring cleaning, catching up on their reading? All these things for sure but Mike and Moira Speechley had other ideas!
As keen bikers they were booked to go on a charity ride in the Isle of Man – dressed as Evel Knievel! Meeting with nearly 100 other Knievels their challenge was … 48 hours of riding the TT circuit followed by a whole island treasure hunt! The aim was to raise money for Macmillan cancer support. Coronavirus obviously put paid to all of that and so they decided to be Knievels’ at home!
They turned their garden into the Isle of Man and 
completed the challenge behind their house!
