Recognising Civic Pride
Whilst we are grateful for official recognition for our efforts, we derive immense satisfaction from personal messages of support; as we work, those posted on Facebook and Instagram, letters to the Rossendale Free Press and the sheer look of delight as people walk or drive through our town! Hot drinks, packets of biscuits even cans of beer are rarely refused! Thank you everyone.
The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service
In 2017 we were honoured to receive the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, recognising the incredible results that our team have achieved over the years. The highest award a UK voluntary group can achieve, it is the MBE for organisations like ours. The QAVS logo sits proudly alongside our own.
