Wonderful Woodland

On Saturday 18th January one CPR volunteer was joined by 3 Pendle Forest Orienteers keen  to start clearing woodland in Waterfoot for a forthcoming orienteering event.  The problem was that whilst we’ve been busy over the last few years clearing litter from the most visible (and less visible) areas, we just don’t have the resources to do everything!   The net result was that our intrepid quartet found litter dating back to 2008 and manged to fill a creditable 7 bags.

Not content with that, 3 CPR volunteers returned on Sunday and filled a further 12 bags plus some bulky fly tipping.  There’s still lots to be done but already the area is ready for nature to turn it a leafy glade when Spring arrives.  So much better than a litter strewn mess!
