5th August is the judging day for the Royal Horticultural Society Britain in Bloom competition. Sparrow Park / LIbrary gardens has been entered into the Pocket Park category .
The Embankment (opposite Asda ), Three Pines Flowerbed (next to the railway station), the inbound layby (along the A56, close to McDonalds ) and the Reeds Rains bed (by the original market) have all been entered into the Its Your Neighbourhood category.
Two RHS judges will visit the town, meet volunteers and look at and score the gardens .
