No Blue Mondays round ‘ere folks – your Witterings have landed! ????

Dearest Readers

Yup, it’s all over the place : today’s being branded as Blue Monday. Not round ‘ere though. It’s been a lovely day, the evenings are deffo getting lighter AND how can anyone be “blue” when they’ve got T’Witterings to read??
To keep the whoopee mood going, come celebrate a few “Well Dones” :
Whoopee One : Elaine, whadda star – a dawn ’til dusk sponsored litterpick yesterday, lots of £££ raised for CPR and 15 (fifteen) bags of litter picked from Crawshawbooth’s streets. There’s still time to donate – go to the Civic Pride Rossendale website or https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/crawshawbooth
Whoopee Two : also yesterday, 19 (nineteen) bags of litter plus tons of big rubbish cleared from Lea Bank woods (potential real beauty-spot) by 3 CPR guys plus 3 from Pendle Forest Orienteers.
Whoopee Three : have a look at our brand new website ; particularly the “Join In” section’s part called “News” – brand new, just got going, to highlight what our gangs have been up to.
More action …..
Tues 21st Jan Meet Jubilee Gardens Crawshawbooth 9am ’til 11.30. The session usually ends with a litterpick but – ummm – will Elaine have left any litter?? Just got to go and find out!
(Weds 22nd – CPR Exec Meet 9.30am – Aunty Lynn’s already sent out the agenda for those concerned. Charlotte sez she’s usually drinking the essential morning cuppa-tea-in-bed at that time so she’ll be arriving in jim-jams ‘n’ dressing gown ….)
Thurs 23rd Jan 10am meet at the Haslingden Rd Gardens (in front of St Mary’s Chambers) the glorious Thursday Crew will be geared up for a little (?) light exercise. 14 of us last week – Community Action and a barrel-load of fun, the friendliest bunch you’ll ever come across!
Fri 24th 8pm Hop social gathering (Hop bar on Bank St) Finish time depends on who and how many are there. Eight of us last week put the world to rights!
DATES FOR THE DIARY :
Sunday Feb 2nd – celebrate the fact of January having disappeared over the horizon by joining the First Sunday Of The Month work crew, 10am-midday. Venue t.b.a.
Tues Feb 18th CPR Annual General Meeting 6.30pm prompt start. Venue, Rawtenstall Cricket Club. Free buffet afterwards. Bar also open but regretfully not free …..

And that, dear readers, is all there is for this week. Profound disappointment for you, but fear not cos there’ll be MORE ol’ tosh next week.
Cheers!
Chris
