Volunteer in 2026
Civic Pride Rossendale has had great support from volunteers, members of the public, schools, nurseries, churches, community groups, local businesses and Rossendale Borough Council. The preparations and the outcomes generated an enormous feeling of pride in our Valley and showed what can be achieved when we pull together.
For all these reasons Civic pride Rossendale feels that it is important to continue to be part of this annual event and are excited to announce that Rawtenstall town centre will be entered again in the 2026 North West competition. Individual community gardens will also be entered into the “It’s your neighborhood” event
Our theme for this year is “Rawtenstall, Regeneration and Rewilding”.
Rawtenstall represents the great community spirit in the town. Regeneration represents the work being done in the town centre this year and the work done by CPR over the years to transform many neglected public spaces into wonderful flowerbeds, planters and lovely places to sit. Rewilding to encourage everyone to increase the biodiversity both in public spaces and our private gardens.
