We need your help in 2024

In the last two years Civic Pride Rossendale has had amazing success in the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS)Britain in Bloom competition.

Volunteer in 2024

Civic Pride Rossendale has had great support from volunteers, members of the public, schools, nurseries, churches, community groups, local businesses and Rossendale Borough Council. The preparations and the outcomes generated an enormous feeling of pride in our Valley and showed what can be achieved when we pull together. In 2024 the RHS is celebrating 60 years of Britain in Bloom and has chosen “Friendship” as its celebratory theme.
For all these reasons Civic pride Rossendale feels that it is important to continue to be part of this annual event and are excited to announce that Rawtenstall town centre will be entered again in the 2024 North West competition. Individual community gardens will also be entered into the “It’s your neighborhood” event

Our theme for this year is “Friendship, Flowers and Felt”.

Friendship in recognition of the RHS theme, Flowers to celebrate the colour they bring to the Town Centre, and Felt to reflect it’s importance in the heritage of the Valley. All we need to do now, together, is get the town centre looking its best for judging day in July/August.
