A Hidden Rawtenstall Gem!

We really appreciate having our very own little slice of Rawtenstall to tend, and have tried to make our garden as wildlife friendly as possible.  We’ve dug a frog pond and planted up some native trees and shrubs, installed a mini-wildflower meadow and made homes for bugs, hedgehogs and frogs.

Our bird table is visited by lots of different birds each day. We love watching them and hearing them sing – they provide us with such a lot of pleasure. We also try to grow some of our own fruit and veg. Of course, I love my perennial flowers and Spring bulbs.

The garden is a mix of flowers, trees, shrubs, fruit and veg, and, what many would call weeds, but I call bee feeders! The photos show the wildlife pond, our orchard, the pallet built compost heap, greenhouse and veg beds and a flower and tree bed.
