Ordering equipment, tidying the stores, getting plants and equipment ready for the next working party, making sure the litter pickers have sufficient bags, organising signs, printing, creating and updating the website the list goes on and on. It all takes time so if you’ve a bit of time to spare but you don’t want to be involved in gardening or litter picking please consider what else you can do to help.
“They don’t wait for opportunities, they create them. They are pro-active.” RBC staff member quoted in Carnegie Foundation Tackling Incivilities.
Civic Pride is composed entirely of volunteers, we have no paid staff but equipment, materials, plants, stationery, websites etc all cost money. Do you have experience and expertise in fund raising? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
